Welcome to

2013

This laboratory was established by Dr. Montarop Yamabhai on May 1st, 2004 at F3-Research building, Suranaree University of Technology, Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. Research projects in the laboratory are focused on the application of high-throughput techniques for structure-function analysis of individual proteins or  the role of each protein in different cellular activities, and for various biotechnological applications.

Current activities in the lab are now focusing on implementing two main techniques that has been established in the laboratories, i.e. directed evolution  and phage display technology. Current research projects involve improvement of various enzymes for biotechnological applications and engineering of antibodies for therapeutic and diagnostic purposes.

The new laboratory has been relocated to F10 building on Jan, 2013.

The laboratory has been appointed by SUT as “Molecular Biotechnology Laboratory” which is divided into two research unit, i.e. “Phage Display Biotechnology Research Unit” and “Enzyme Biotechnology Research Unit”  since June 2013.
